Those experienced with SQL Server encryption may want to look elsewhere. Considerations of Using Excel Data Sources in SSIS 2005

When connecting to Excel, SSIS uses drivers built for Access databases. Since Excel is not a database, nor does it behave like on when it comes to data type consistency within columns, etc, one sometimes encounters “unexpected behavior” when importing from Excel.
