How Unified Communications is Changing the Workplace
2:00 - 3:15 Doug Splinter, Convergent Solutions Group
Think for a moment about how many phone numbers you have for work? Three? Where do your check for faxes? Emails or voicemails? How do you manage a conference call with your current phone system? Most likely, you setup a separate conference bridge. How do you do video conferencing? Can you do video conferencing? What about web conferences? Unified Communications has the ability to bring all of these activities together in an easy to use toolset that does not require an advanced I/T or telephony background. This session will show you the real world architecture, where it is now and where UC is going. From one location, you can change your discussion from a phone call, to a web meeting without using multiple tools. You can escalate collaboration. Unified Communications offers the biggest opportunity to businesses to reduce volume and increase the relevance.
