Eric Goodoien
ITIL Foundations, Practitioner and Master Certified, New Horizons Global Educator of the Year 2005, New Horizons Global Educator of the Year Runner-Up 2006, and Senior Technical Instructor.
Eric is a true expert in the field. But if you think that's good, wait until you see his excitement when talking about ITIL. With over 17 years experience in the industry, Eric is a skilled instructor, customizing his training to the goals and abilities of his students. He was on the 5-star Top Gun Trainer List for MS Windows Server 2003 and was also a global Top 10 New Horizons instructor for six months running in 2003. His passion, however, is ITIL. He has achieved his ITIL Manager Certification and is New Horizon of Minnesota's lead ITIL instructor, having written and delivered several custom classes for our clients in this area. His talents in the classroom are further intensified by his customer service oriented attitude and approach. He truly puts his students needs first, and they in turn, have shown their appreciation in their class evaluations: In August 2005, Eric was recognized at the New Horizons International Conference as the #1 IT Instructor in the world, and he followed that up in 2006 as the #2 IT instructor.
Ron Hovland
ITIL Foundations, Practitioner and Master Certified, 11th Place New Horizons Global Educator of the Year 2006, Senior Technical Instructor.
As the senior developer instructor at New Horizons of Minnesota, Ron is the go-to person for our staff as well as other instructors. In essence, he teaches the teachers. And, if he doesn't know the answer, he always knows exactly where to find it. Ron’s BA and graduate work in education, as well as extensive experience with development work, make him an excellent resource for our staff and for our students. Ron also develops custom courseware for us and helps clients and colleagues troubleshoot a variety of software applications. In 2005, he obtained his ITIL Managers certification and now teaches the full complement of ITIL courses. Ron continually receives top evaluation scores from students; in fact, he was the #5 technical instructor within the entire New Horizons global network in 2005, having taught over 400 students! Ron also made the Instructor Hall of Fame in 2006 for the delivery of his ITIL Online LIVE course. Ron also develops custom courseware for us and helps clients and colleagues troubleshoot a variety of software applications.
Matthew Obert
ITIL Foundations Certified, Senior Technical Instructor.
Matthew Obert has become a solid member of our ITIL Instructor group. He approaches each class with technical detail and know-how but also with humor. Previously, he worked on designing numerous solutions for SMS infrastructures for over eight years. He currently teaches SMS 2003, core Server 2003 courses, WMI, VB Scripting, SQL and ITIL.
Don Donais
ITIL Foundations Certified, Senior Communications Instructor, Technical Instructor, and Business Application Instructor.
Since joining New Horizons of Minnesota, Don has become a well-rounded teaching resource as his talents and knowledge apply to our ITIL classes, Communication Classes, IT classes and Business Application classes. Don was also a band director in the public school arena and has the depth of working with all age groups. His education background serves him well at New Horizons. Don quickly became an MCT by picking up his MCSA and MCSE certifications. This allowed him to joined the IT staff in December 2006. With his blended experience and positive emphasis on communication, he is able to expand the information given to students in a powerful way.
