In response to an ever-growing demand for professional development, New Horizons of Minnesota is pleased to announce that we now offer a new powerful suite of courses - business skills.

As the area's largest provider of IT, Developer, ITIL and Business Software training, New Horizons of Minnesota continues to set the pace for innovative training programs that meet the changing needs of the industry. For over fifteen years our customers have received value from our technology training offerings, we will continue to offer industry-leading technology training, but this is now complemented by business skills training that will enable our students to better do the parts of their jobs that aren't directly related to technology.

Instruction on business skills such as time management, business writing, project management and communication have been found to greatly enhance a team's ability to collaborate and therefore increases productivity. Business skills training is not only for "office professionals", a recent national poll with responses from more than 1,400 CIOs from a stratified random sample of U.S. companies with 100 or more employees concluded that 53% of companies currently offer IT staff training in non-technical areas such as leadership, communication, project management and business fundamentals.

In addition to offering business skills training on our public schedule for instructor-led and online training, we believe that the highest demand for these course will be from companies wanting to customize this training for their organization. The addition of business skills training gives New Horizons of Minnesota the unique opportunity to pair the technology and business skill training for a private course. For example, organizations can choose to pair an Outlook class with Email Etiquette, help desk training with Excellence in Customer Service, or a Network+ class with Time Management - thus providing students with training on the technology, as well as how to implement it into their work.
